Isoxsuprine is a beta-adrenergicagonist . It prevents the contractions of the smooth muscles in the uterus , by that it relaxes the uterus to prevent premature labor. It also helps in widening blood vessels to increase blood flow, which improving blood circulation to certain parts of the body (such as the hands/feet, brain). Therefore, it also treats peripheral vascular disease.
